Brief
To conceptualise and produce an unforgettable summer party for Vodafone’s UK and Group staff, meeting the changing criteria set by the client, offering quality whilst still being able to accommodate the 12,000 guests who attend.

Delivery
For five years, Hyperactive Events produced the Vodafone Ball - from transport logistics, to venue selection, concept and theming development, event design as well as collateral design, and on site event management and post production and video editing of the souvenir film. We managed all aspects of the staging and artist liaison/performance, through to looking after the corporate VIPs.

During this time, the Ball was transformed into a highly creative experience with a myriad of activities, outstanding catering experiences and world class entertainment from the likes of Robbie Williams and Sir Elton John.

Each year, we were charged with creating a fresh, exciting event which needed a new theme/venue (often green field sites such as Blenheim Palace and Highclere Castle). The very first theme reflected the new Vodafone F1 sponsorship property and focused on a globally themed ‘village’; the next was ‘Goldfinger Meets Goldmember’, followed by ‘Razzle Dazzle’ – a journey through musicals such as Phantom, Cabaret, Lion King, Oklahoma …. We then had the ‘Black Pearl Party’ based on a Pirates of The Carribean theme, with the swansong event being Vodafone’s very own music festival, ‘Vodstock’ at Blenheim.

From the conceptualisation phase, six months of pre-production commenced encompassing venue negotiation, liaison with local authorities, the development of risk management assessments and a comprehensive traffic management plan, venue design, supplier sourcing and negotiation and a host of other production elements.
